Bharti Announces Strategic organisational Changes

Key changes in line with Bharti’s growth plan & institutionalization drive

New Delhi, August 11, 2005 : Bharti Tele-Ventures Limited, India’s leading telecom conglomerate today announced strategic organisational changes. These changes are aimed to drive growth & accelerate the institutionalization process at Bharti.

Mr. Ashok Juneja, Director - Planning & Special Projects, Mobility moves back into the Corporate Office as Corporate Director - Network Technology & Projects. He will be responsible for new Network Technology Initiatives.

Mr. Hemant Sachdev, Corporate Director, Marketing will now take over as Group Chief Marketing Officer & Director, Mobility. He will lead & drive the Airtel brand for the group.

Mr. Jagdish Kini, Executive Director, South Regional Hub will now be taking a non-operational supervisory position based out of Bangalore. In his new assignment, as a consultant, Mr. Kini would be assisting Bharti in enhancing 'Customer Service Delivery’. Mr. Atul Bindal, Chief Marketing Officer & Director, Mobility, will take over as Executive Director, South Regional Hub, Mobility.

Mr. Sunil K. Goyal, Senior Vice-President, Strategic Planning Group, will take over as Chief Operating Officer, Mobility for Madhya Pradesh circle from Mr. Madhur Taneja. Mr. Madhur Taneja, COO, Madhya Pradesh has decided to take on another assignment outside the company.
